- Clamp ONE conductor — around a full cord (L+N) the fields cancel and you read zero
- Buy the 1 V output variant (internally burdened = safe); 50 mA variants must never be open-circuited on a live wire
- 100A ≈ motors to ~50–55 kW @380V; 13 mm window fits ≤ ~35–50 mm² cable — 200A-class (SCT-019/024) above that
- Install on the load side of the contactor, LINE side of any VFD — never between VFD and motor
- 30A variant for small machines — better low-current resolution
